Hannah Wilk

Cynthia Chen

At a young age Hannah always said she would be in film. It just took her four three years at an Engineering school to finally admit it to herself. Currently she is studying Mechanical Engineering at Olin College of Engineering. Last semester she spent four months studying in London at the University of Westminster. There she took courses in Pre-production and filming. She has used a bloex before and has made some SEXY test demos in 16mm film.

Before finishing school Hannah has spent time in Hollywood working with Legacy Effects. Here she learned the ins and outs of practical effects and puppetting. While living in New York she interned at Click 3x a booming post-production company in the center of Manhattan. In London, she interned with Unanico Group, learning how to create multi media productions in Unity and Maya. She got to work in the same office as Gary Kurtz- the man known for producing Star Wars.

Cynthia always saw the world through the lense of a movie. After applying, and getting into UCLA flim school, she turned down her opportunity instead opting for Olin College of Engineering. Here she is studying for her BA in Electronical and Computer Engineering. Last semester she managed a team of students at Olin colleg to produce, film, and direct a film for the White House's "Till it Happens With you Campaign". Over 10% of the student body was used in the making of the short film. During this semester she also took a script writting class at the famous Wellesley College.

When she isn't doing film she is becoming a wonderful coder. She currently working as a Front End and Data Scientist Intern at a Stealth AI Start up. That means she can't say anything about it, and if you ask her, she may have to silence you.

Partnership

Hannah and Cynthia didn't always know that they were destined for partnership greatness. Freshman year Hannah and Cynthia began working for Olin College's Post Graduate Planning Office. Hannah wrote, and Cynthia produced videos. As time went on Hannah was drawn to working on films, because it reminded her of happier times, before the stress of college. The partnership solidified between Freshman and Sophomore year when they both applied to Edit Videos for Brian Storey (PHD). To this day they edit films teaching students about Transport Phenomena. With over 13 videos in the series, most of the videos have over 3,000 views each. During this same semester they joined a film production class at Babson. Both Cythnia and Hannah eneded up on the same team, managing and directing over 20 students to produce a short about Gender Equality. If you ask both of them, they would certainly agree that it was a wonderful production, but no you cannot see the video because for some reason it was lost in an "incident". With this their partnership was solidified and have been working together on interviews and other video projects for the last two years.
