And thus the first post of the ASHE Capstone was born.

This project began, not on September 10, 2016, but September 10, 2015.

That was the day that I came together with Cynthia Chen and decided to collaborate together on a ASHE Capstone project. At that point, there was no script, no roles, no direction; there was only a concept.

We had an idea that together we were going to make one entertaining short film. We didn't want to make a full-length film; we wanted to strive for quality over quantity. We articulated to each other pretty quickly that we were going to write the script, produce the film, and make it ourselves with the help of the other talented students at Olin College.

Thus Salty Marmalade Productions was born into this world with a little cheer and some confetti.

After our little celebration, we set off to work. We needed to find the rest of our talented crew, Within a first few days we began to work, another individual with an eye for cinema, Nur Shlapobersky, caught our eye. All three of us talked for hours about film, cinematography, and the use of the camera to convey a message to the audience. Cynthia and I realized that we wanted Nur to help us shoot the film; he would be an invaluable asset to bring our artistic vision to the screen.

Thankfully we are all talented in film production. So even though we all have roles, its really just for show. All three of us bounce between roles to work to produce the best short film some 20 something, engineering students can produce. Don't let our age decieve you.
